Insurance Coverage
AETNA
Materna Lactation is in-network with Aetna. Most Aetna policies cover up to 6 lactation visits, including prenatal visits. Please verify that we are an approved provider under your specific Aetna plan, as coverage and service restrictions may apply If you and your baby are covered by Aetna insurance, we will bill them for yours services. You are responsible for consultation fees if insurance does not provide coverage. Important coverage note: For the first 3 visits, Aetna Insurance typically covers both mother and infant codes. After the 3rd visit, coverage usually continues for the mother's services only - you will be responsible for paying out-of-pocket for any infant-related services during subsequent visits."
CIGNA
Cigna Insurance: While we participate with CIGNA insurance, we recommend visiting our partner Wildflower’s website to verify your specific coverage prior to your consultation. If CIGNA insurance is not in our network, we will provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Required: You must complete a Virtual Consultation before scheduling your in-person appointment.
If you do NOT receive approval from Wildflower, a Super Bill will be provided for you to submit to your health insurance company for potential reimbursement.
United Healthcare
United Healthcare Insurance: Materna Lactation is in-network with United Healthcare. Please verify that we are an approved provider under your specific United Healthcare plan, as coverage and service restrictions may apply If you and your baby are covered by United Healthcare insurance, we will bill them for yours services. You are responsible for consultation fees if insurance does not provide coverage and any out-of-pocket for any infant-related services during subsequent visits."
NON-INSURANCE/ SELF-PAY
